Job summary

Edison Smart is seeking a visionary Director of Technology Solutions & Transformation in Dubai to lead enterprise technology strategy, solution development, and digital transformation across cloud, cybersecurity, AI, automation, data platforms, and networking.

You will shape capabilities, governance, and execution, partnering with sales, presales, and service delivery to translate discovery into value-driven implementations.

Qualifications

• At least 15 years of progressive experience in enterprise technology, consulting, systems integration, or technology services.
• Minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership or director-level position.
• Proven record leading complex digital transformation programs for large regional or multinational organizations.
• Experience developing enterprise technology strategies and translating them into executable programs.
• Strong commercial awareness and experience supporting solution sales, presales, account growth, or business development.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead the organization’s enterprise technology strategy in alignment with its corporate vision and customer-transformation objectives.
• Translate market developments, emerging technologies, and customer requirements into actionable strategies and differentiated service offerings.
• Provide strategic direction across technology practices, solution portfolios, and technical capabilities.
• Serve as a trusted technology adviser to senior executives, customers, and internal stakeholders.
• Oversee the discovery, assessment, design, validation, and governance of secure and scalable technology architectures.
• Guide the development of solutions across cloud and hybrid infrastructure, cybersecurity, AI, automation, data platforms, networking, and edge technologies.
• Establish appropriate architecture, security, compliance, and quality standards.
• Ensure that successful opportunities are transitioned effectively to service-delivery teams, with complete documentation, clear responsibilities, and agreed implementation plans.
• Promote the adoption of leading enterprise platforms and emerging technologies where they deliver measurable customer value.
• Lead complex digital transformation initiatives for enterprise customers across multiple industries.
• Develop operating models that improve agility, accelerate time to value, and increase returns on technology investment.
• Help customers modernize their technology environments through cloud-native architectures, automation, AI, cybersecurity, and data-driven capabilities.
• Provide executive oversight throughout the transformation lifecycle.
• Partner with sales, account-management, and presales teams to identify, shape, and develop strategic opportunities.
• Support cross-selling across the organization’s technology portfolio, particularly within major enterprise accounts.
• Identify new revenue streams and contribute to go-to-market strategies, solution positioning, and joint partner propositions.
• Lead innovation- and discovery-based demand-generation activities for priority market segments.
• Evaluate customer requirements, competitor offerings, and market trends to inform commercial and portfolio decisions.
• Help establish specialist technology teams as trusted advisers and preferred points of contact for customers.
• Lead, mentor, and develop teams of architects, engineers, consultants, and technology specialists.
• Build organizational capability by recruiting, coaching, and retaining high-performing professionals.
• Develop future leaders and strengthen succession planning across the technology function.
• Establish clear performance expectations and promote accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Foster an inclusive, innovative, and customer-focused working environment.
• Build trusted executive-level relationships with strategic customers, technology vendors, and ecosystem partners.
• Work closely with customer-facing teams to maintain consistent account and engagement strategies.
• Strengthen strategic alliances and develop joint propositions with major technology partners.
• Represent the organization at industry forums, partner events, customer advisory boards, and executive briefings.
• Provide executive oversight of strategic technology engagements and transformation programs.
• Ensure engagements meet standards for quality, security, delivery, commercial performance, and customer satisfaction.
• Define and monitor performance indicators across technology practices and delivery teams.
• Identify delivery risks and ensure mitigation and escalation measures.
• Promote operational efficiency through automation, cloud utilization, resource planning, and program management.
• Manage significant commercial targets, operating budgets, and resource commitments.
• Optimize the allocation of people and technical resources across engagements and initiatives.
• Monitor profitability, utilization, pipeline contribution, and overall business performance.
• Balance growth objectives with delivery capacity, operational efficiency, and customer outcomes.
