Job summary

Oaks Ibn Battuta Gate Hotel Dubai is looking for an Engineering Supervisor to lead daily maintenance, assign tasks to technicians, and ensure preventive and corrective work meets our standards.

You will coordinate with procurement and external contractors, assist with CAPEX/OPEX planning, and maintain logs, PM reports, and AMC files while ensuring safety compliance across HVAC, electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years’ experience in engineering or maintenance, preferably in hospitality.
• 1–2 years’ experience in a supervisory or lead technician role.
• Strong knowledge of building systems: HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, BMS and fire systems.
• Experience with preventive maintenance programs and engineering operations.
• Proficient in MS Office and maintenance systems.
• Strong communication, coordination, and leadership skills.

The role supports CAPEX and OPEX planning, cost control, and coordination with procurement and external contractors. Responsibilities include managing work orders, updating engineering systems, maintaining logs, PM reports, AMC files, and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards. The supervisor also handles administrative duties such as monthly attendance, overtime, leave records, inventory tracking, duty rosters, and documentation. The position requires effective communication, technical knowledge across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems, and the ability to train, guide, and support the engineering team while ensuring smooth coordination with other departments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in engineering or maintenance, preferably in hospitality.
• Minimum 1–2 years’ experience in a supervisory or lead technician role.
• Strong technical knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, BMS, fire systems).
