Job summary

Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts in Dubai is seeking an Engineering Inventory Coordinator to manage and improve our engineering stock of spare parts, tools and maintenance materials. You will ensure accurate records, optimize stock levels and coordinate purchases across departments.

The role requires strong Excel skills, hospitality experience, and the ability to handle multiple priorities with precision. This full-time position offers competitive pay and benefits in a luxury hotel environment.

Qualifications

Experience in engineering coordination, inventory control or purchasing in a hospitality or facilities setting.
Strong Excel skills and familiarity with inventory/purchasing systems.
Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail and accurate record-keeping.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and complete tasks.
Proficient English communication, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

Maintain and improve the Engineering inventory system for spare parts, materials, tools and consumables.
Ensure inventory records are accurate and up to date (stock levels, locations, supplier details).
Set and monitor minimum and maximum stock levels to support operations.
Track inventory usage and replenish critical materials proactively.
Record receipt, issue, return and movement of inventory and tools.
Conduct regular stock counts, investigate discrepancies, and manage obsolete inventory.
Coordinate Engineering purchase requisitions with clear specs and quantities.
Liaise with Purchasing, vendors, Receiving and Finance to manage orders and resolve discrepancies.
Maintain purchasing and inventory records and provide reports to Engineering management.

What you will do

Maintain and continuously improve the Engineering inventory system for spare parts, materials, tools, and consumables.
Ensure inventory records are accurate and up to date, including stock levels, locations, and supplier details.
Establish and monitor minimum and maximum stock levels to support operational requirements.
Track inventory usage and proactively replenish critical materials and spare parts.
Control and record the receipt, issuance, return, and movement of Engineering inventory and tools.
Conduct regular stock counts, investigate discrepancies, and manage obsolete or slow-moving inventory.
Coordinate Engineering purchase requisitions, ensuring specifications, quantities, and documentation are accurate.
Liaise with Purchasing, vendors, Receiving, and Finance to manage orders, deliveries, and resolve discrepancies.
Maintain purchasing and inventory records while providing reports and updates to Engineering management.

What you bring

Previous experience in Engineering coordination, inventory control, purchasing, or a similar operational role.
Experience within hospitality, facilities management, or a technical/engineering environment preferred.
Strong Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with inventory or purchasing systems.
Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and record-keeping accuracy.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow tasks through to completion.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with excellent written and spoken English.
Problem-solving mindset, high integrity, and accountability in managing inventory and purchasing processes.
Basic knowledge of engineering materials, spare parts, and maintenance equipment, combined with a high level of integrity and accountability.
