Job summary

Pliant is seeking a hands-on security engineer to own our cloud security foundations and drive secure-by-default Terraform and Docker modules. You will proactively remediate IAM, KMS, and GuardDuty findings while automating evidence for PCI DSS, SOC 2, ISO 27001, and DORA.

You will lead vulnerability management, incident response, and threat modeling to strengthen our security posture and guide architectural reviews. Remote-friendly role with opportunities to grow the security team.

Qualifications

• Hands-on DevSecOps or cloud security with AWS ownership.
• Experience securing containerized workloads (ECS/EKS/Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with PCI DSS, SOC 2, ISO 27001 standards.

Responsibilities

• Own security foundations including secure-by-default Terraform and Docker modules.
• Drive cloud security posture by remediating findings and tuning IAM, KMS, and GuardDuty.
• Automate compliance evidence collection for PCI DSS, SOC 2, ISO 27001, and DORA.
• Run end-to-end vulnerability management and incident response.
• Build application security practices through threat modeling and architecture reviews.
• Grow the security engineering team through strategic hiring.
