Overview
The Engineering Manager is responsible for leading, directing, and coordinating all engineering activities of a project to ensure designs, technical deliverables, and engineering‑related decisions are completed accurately, efficiently, and on time. The role serves as a bridge between the project management, engineering teams, design consultants, and construction teams, ensuring smooth integration of all engineering work.
Eligibility & Qualifications
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or any relevant discipline from a reputable university with sound academic merits.
- Over 15 years of experience.
- Specialized trainings: Construction Management, Project Estimating & Budgeting, Contracts Management, LEED, PMP/MMUP.
- Experience in Project Management, Contracts Management, Business Development, and Engineering Design.
Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate the activities and operations of a multidisciplinary project engineering team.
- Coordinate the engineering content of project execution plans for assigned contracts/projects.
- Direct and manage the engineering and associated project activities of the business grouping/Project.
- Manage and direct resources efficiently and effectively.
- Consult and negotiate with clients to prepare specifications, explain proposals and present engineering reports and findings.
- Assign, coordinate, and review the technical work of the department or project teams.
- Focus on managerial concerns such as cost, completion date, and resource allocation.
- Provide expert resolution of issues and monitor integration of work.
- Review technical concepts of major projects.
- Assist in identifying and requesting functional support to projects/contracts as required.
- Accountable for efficient planning and management of engineering resources, identifying and pursuing opportunities for margin improvement.
- Perform additional duties when directed by the Project Management & Engineering Manager.
- Promote QHSE & ISMS policies within the company and ensure that the QHSE and ISMS procedures are followed at all times, striving for continuous improvement until the effectiveness of the Integrated Management System is achieved.
