Client of UWP HR Consultancy is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager in Dubai to lead the Engineering Department. You will manage engineering activities for roads and infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, 10 years of relevant experience, and strong leadership skills in managing engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in roads and infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of Dubai authority requirements, including RTA and DEWA.
• Proven experience managing engineering teams and coordinating multidisciplinary infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage engineering activities from tender through project completion.
• Review project designs and oversee preparation of shop drawings.
• Define project scope, monitor engineering progress, and track materials.
• Obtain required approvals and NOCs from relevant authorities.

Job description

Job Purpose

Lead the Engineering Department to support project delivery by managing engineering activities, technical coordination and design development while ensuring compliance with safety, quality and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage engineering activities from tender through project completion.
• Review project designs and oversee preparation of shop drawings, technical submittals and coordinated drawings.
• Support the estimating team during tendering with technical input and design reviews.
• Define project scope, monitor engineering progress, and track long‑lead materials.
• Obtain required approvals and NOCs from relevant authorities including RTA and DEWA.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, authorities, subcontractors, suppliers and internal project teams.
• Resolve technical and design issues to minimize project risks, delays and additional costs.
• Supervise engineering staff and ensure timely delivery of engineering documentation.
• Participate in project meetings, monitor engineering milestones and support project handover with accurate as‑built documentation.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, quality procedures and company policies.

Comply with the Company’s Code of Conduct and Anti‑Bribery & Corruption policies, complete mandatory compliance training, and report any suspected policy violations.

Quality Responsibilities

Adhere to Quality Assurance and Quality Control procedures and ensure all engineering deliverables meet project specifications and client requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Professional engineering membership/certification is an advantage.
• Valid UAE Driving Licence.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in roads and infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of Dubai authority requirements, including RTA, DEWA and other regulatory agencies.
• Proven experience managing engineering teams and coordinating multidisciplinary infrastructure projects.
