Job summary

Wood is recruiting an Engineering Manager - Project Development & Studies in Dubai, UAE, bringing extensive oil and gas brownfield experience to lead major infrastructure studies and FEED activities.

In this role you will manage multidisciplinary engineering teams through Concept, Feasibility, Pre-FEED and FEED, ensure technical integrity, schedule, budget and risk controls, and liaise with clients and stakeholders to secure delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering (essential).
• Minimum 20 years oil & gas industry experience would be expected.
• Proven Front End Loading (FEL) experience including Select, Assess and Define stages.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams on complex brownfield projects.
• Strong communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage all engineering aspects of assigned projects within scope, budget and schedule.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams through Concept, Feasibility, Pre-FEED and FEED phases.
• Develop and evaluate engineering solutions ensuring operability, maintainability and cost effectiveness.
• Provide engineering leadership to discipline engineers and consultants.
• Coordinate interfaces across disciplines and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with codes, standards and client specifications.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks throughout development and execution.
• Lead reviews, design workshops, risk assessments and value engineering.
• Support bid evaluations and contractor selection as required.
• Interface with management, operations and asset teams to resolve issues.
