Job summary

MDE MENA is seeking an Engineering Director in Dubai to lead multidisciplinary teams within its modular construction and steel structures business. The role focuses on setting delivery expectations, governance, and value engineering across oil, gas and energy projects.

The ideal candidate will have an engineering degree and 15+ years of leadership experience, with strong knowledge of international standards and modern design tools, plus excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

We’re hiring an Engineering Director on behalf of our client, an established business in the modular construction and structural steel, in oil and gas and energy sector, specialising in the design, engineering and manufacture of modular buildings and steel structures. The company delivers tailored solutions for complex projects, with a strong focus on technical quality, efficient production and international standards.

Key priorities include:

• Leading multidisciplinary teams and setting clear delivery expectations.
• Managing engineering capacity, project schedules and budgets.
• Strengthening design reviews, technical governance and documentation.
• Introducing digital tools and automation to improve productivity.
• Working closely with commercial, procurement and project delivery teams.
• Driving value engineering while maintaining quality, safety and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate will bring:

• An engineering degree and at least 15 years of relevant experience.
• Proven leadership of engineering teams and performance improvement initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of international engineering standards and modern design tools.
• Confident stakeholder management and communication skills.
