Job summary

Jumeirah is seeking an Assistant Manager – Engineering to join Wild Wadi in the United Arab Emirates. You will lead the engineering function, drive preventative maintenance and supervise a team to ensure safe, reliable park operations.

The role requires 5+ years of engineering experience with 3+ years in management, plus a degree in a relevant field and strong English communication. Competitive benefits and tax-free UAE salary are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years engineering experience with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Minimum 3 years in waterpark/theme park operations or management.
• University degree or diploma in a relevant field, plus an engineering qualification.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing, carpentry and electrical systems; MS Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the Director of Engineering to lead the engineering function and ensure safe, reliable operations of facility and equipment.
• Implement and manage preventative maintenance and work-order systems with accurate records.
• Lead and develop engineering staff through training, performance management and safety procedures.
• Monitor departmental expenditure, energy use and performance; identify efficiency improvements.
• Coordinate with internal teams, suppliers and contractors to address requirements and prevent disruption.
• Maintain engineering records and ensure compliance with company and municipal safety standards.
