Job summary

Client of AIQU is seeking an Engineer Level 2 to lead VSAT and satellite deployment projects across the UAE. You will manage site surveys, commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, and handover, ensuring top technical performance and customer satisfaction.

The role requires 5-7 years of hands-on VSAT experience, strong RF budgeting, and proficiency with satellite modems and network tools. Fluency in English and UAE work authorization are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field.
• 5-7 years hands-on experience in VSAT deployment, commissioning, testing, and maintenance.
• Proven expertise in satellite link budgeting, RF propagation, and signal optimization.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for RF and network faults in satellite systems.
• Experience with configuration and operation of satellite modems, routers, and network management tools.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to work independently and in multicultural team in the UAE.
• Legal authorization to work in the UAE.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct VSAT site surveys, RF link budgeting, and frequency planning.
• Lead installation, commissioning, and testing of VSAT earth stations and network equipment.
• Perform system verification, acceptance testing, and troubleshooting to resolve RF and network issues.
• Coordinate deployment activities with clients, vendors, and project teams to meet schedules.
• Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation, installation reports, and handover packages.
• Provide on-site technical support and training to junior engineers and field technicians.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards during deployment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize system design and performance.
• Monitor and maintain deployed systems, applying firmware updates and patches as needed.

About the Role:
