Technical Engineer - Telecom

Job summary

Alaberah in Abu Dhabi seeks a Telecom Infrastructure Project Engineer to coordinate with clients, review drawings, and ensure project execution from site surveys to handover.

You will participate in technical meetings, prepare submissions, and maintain as-built drawings and technical records. UAE/GCC project experience is preferred; degree in telecom/electrical engineering is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in telecom, electronics, or electrical engineering.
• Experience in telecom infrastructure, fiber optic, or OSP projects.
• Experience in client coordination and technical project coordination.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with clients and understand their technical requirements, instructions and project expectations.
• Attend technical meetings with clients, consultants and project teams.
• Review drawings, specifications, scope of work and client requirements.
• Coordinate with the Division Manager, Project Manager, Site Engineers, Survey Team and Telecom Team for project execution.
• Coordinate site surveys and verify existing site conditions before starting work.
• Review proposed telecom routes, cable routes, duct routes, manholes and other infrastructure requirements.
• Identify technical issues at site and coordinate with the concerned teams to find practical solutions.
• Prepare and coordinate technical submissions, drawings, method statements, material submittals, RFIs, TQs and inspection documents.
• Coordinate with the client for technical approvals, inspections and clearances.
• Ensure that site work is carried out according to approved drawings, specifications and client requirements.
• Monitor technical progress and follow up on pending technical issues and approvals.
• Coordinate testing, inspection, punch-list clearance and project handover.
• Ensure that proper as-built drawings, test reports and other technical records are maintained.
• Communicate client instructions clearly to the project team and follow up until completion.
• Escalate major technical issues, changes and client concerns to the Project Manager and Division Manager.
• Maintain proper records of technical correspondence, approvals, instructions and client coordination skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Telecommunication, Electronics, Electrical Engineering.
• Relevant experience in telecom infrastructure/fiber optic/OSP projects.
• Experience in client coordination and technical project coordination is preferred.
• UAE/GCC project experience will be an advantage.
