Role Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled ELV Network Engineer with strong experience in systems integration. The role is responsible for the deployment, configuration, integration, and support of IT-based security systems including IP CCTV, access control, video management systems (VMS), servers, storage, networks, and cybersecurity‑related components. The focus is on protecting systems and networks from threats through firewalls, antivirus, and VPNs. All security systems must operate reliably, securely, and efficiently within the client’s IT infrastructure.
The role involves managing the project engineering and installation teams, ensuring project execution complies with technical and safety standards, and coordinating with clients, vendors, and internal teams to deliver high‑quality security solutions. Leveraging expertise in IT security technologies and systems integration, you will work closely with clients, project managers, engineers, and technical teams to deliver scalable and effective security solutions that meet their unique needs and requirements.
Responsibilities
- Manage project engineering and installation teams to ensure on‑time and within‑budget delivery.
- Ensure compliance with technical and safety standards.
- Coordinate with clients, vendors, and internal teams to deliver high‑quality security solutions.
- Deploy, configure, integrate, and support IT‑based security systems (IP CCTV, access control, VMS, servers, storage, networks, cybersecurity components).
- Closely monitor project budgets, resources, and equipment to prevent overspending.
- Provide technical support and training for end‑users and operators.
- Coordinate with vendors for upgrades and advanced troubleshooting.
- Offer training and guidance to clients and end‑users on system operation and maintenance.
- Maintain ongoing relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction and address issues or requirements.
- Integrate security systems with client IT infrastructure and enterprise applications.
- Design, implement, and deploy security solutions (firewalls, antivirus, VPNs).
- Monitor the security network, continuously analyze security logs, and research vulnerabilities.
- Investigate security breaches and manage incident response to cyberattacks.
- Ensure security systems adhere to industry standards, regulations, and best practices, and keep regulatory certification current.
- Configure network hardware for security systems, perform site‑acceptance testing (SAT), and commission systems.
- Evaluate new technologies, recommend improvements, and identify opportunities for process improvement, efficiency gains, and cost savings.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in security technology and recommend improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Engineering, Network Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in IT‑focused security systems engineering.
- Hands‑on experience deploying, configuring, and troubleshooting VMS, servers, and access‑control systems.
- Experience in ELV/security integration projects, preferably in the UAE/GCC.
- Experience with SIRA/ADMCC Videoguard & portal commissioning.
Technical Skills
- In‑depth knowledge of security technologies, protocols, and standards such as TCP/IP, LDAP, and ONVIF.
- Experience with major vendors: Genetec, LenelS2, Milestone, Cisco, Allied Telesis.
- Certifications: CCNA/CCNP, Microsoft (MCSA/MCSE), CompTIA Security+, CEH, etc. (preferred).
- Security tools: firewalls, VPNs.
- Networking: TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching.
- Operating systems: Windows, Linux.
Professional Attributes
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and customer‑service skills.
- Project‑management experience and familiarity with project‑management methodologies.
- Industry/regulatory certifications such as SIRA and MCC are advantageous.
