Your Role
- Design, develop, and review ELV security system solutions in accordance with client requirements, project specifications, applicable standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and review technical documentation, including system architecture, shop drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, equipment layouts, BOQs, material submittals, and technical reports.
- Perform engineering calculations, equipment selection, and system sizing to ensure optimal performance and compliance.
- Preparation and Approval of Interface Control Documents (ICDs) in coordination with project stakeholders and as per specifications, design and Employer Requirements.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, architects, MEP teams, IT teams, and subcontractors to resolve technical issues and ensure successful project delivery.
- Supervise and provide technical guidance during installation, configuration, integration, testing, commissioning, and system acceptance activities.
- Configure, program, and integrate security systems including CCTV, Access Control, Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), Video Management Systems (VMS), Intercom, and other integrated security platforms.
- Troubleshoot technical issues, identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and provide timely technical support during project execution and post-handover.
- Ensure all engineering activities comply with relevant international standards, local authority regulations, cybersecurity requirements, and company quality management procedures.
- Review vendor proposals, evaluate technical compliance, and recommend suitable products and solutions.
- Conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), inspections, and commissioning activities to verify system functionality and performance.
- Coordinate with procurement and suppliers to ensure timely availability of approved materials and equipment.
- Support preventive maintenance, system upgrades, software updates, and lifecycle management of installed security systems.
- Provide technical training and knowledge transfer to clients, operators, and internal teams where required.
- Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Environment (HSE), and Information Security policies throughout all engineering activities.
- Monitor project progress, identify technical risks, and recommend mitigation measures to maintain project quality, cost, and schedule objectives.
- Stay current with emerging ELV security technologies, industry best practices, and applicable standards to enhance engineering capabilities and solution offerings.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong knowledge of ELV security systems, including CCTV, Access Control, Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), Video Management Systems (VMS), Intercom, Perimeter Protection, ANPR, and Security Management Systems (SMS).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
- Experience with system configuration, programming, integration, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of ELV security platforms.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, single-line diagrams, schematics, ICDs and construction documentation.
- Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with BIM/Revit and design calculation tools is an advantage.
- Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with clients, consultants, contractors, vendors, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to prepare clear technical reports, engineering documentation, and project correspondence.
- Sound decision-making skills and the ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.
- Experience with enterprise Physical Security Information Management (PSIM) and Security Management Systems (SMS).
- Knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS), Integrated Building Management Systems (IBMS), and integration with ELV platforms.
- Experience with cloud-based security solutions, remote monitoring platforms, and hybrid security architectures.

- Knowledge of BIM/Revit and digital engineering tools for multidisciplinary project coordination.
- Experience in technical proposal preparation, solution design, and pre-sales support.
- Ability to mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to project teams.
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills for technical workshops, client meetings, and design reviews.
- Continuous learning mindset with a commitment to staying current on emerging technologies, industry standards, and best practices.
Experience & Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, IT, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years' experience in the design, engineering, implementation, integration, testing, and commissioning of ELV security systems.
- Experience working in compliance with international standards, local authority regulations (SIRA, ADMCC etc.), and quality management systems.
