Job summary

Workato in Dubai is seeking an experienced sommelier to join our restaurant team and develop a world-class wine program. The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of regional, national and international wines, strong wine-pairing skills, exceptional customer service, and experience in fine-dining, staff training, and inventory management.

You will work closely with the kitchen and service teams to create memorable wine experiences and educate guests on selections.

Qualifications

• Proven sommelier experience in fine dining.
• Deep knowledge of regional, national and international wines.

• Ability to train staff and manage inventory.

Responsibilities

• Develop and update a comprehensive wine list for the restaurant.
• Maintain stock levels of all wines offered.
• Educate staff on wines and provide training on food and wine pairing.
• Monitor wine sales trends and suggest new wines to customers.
• Create promotional materials for different types of wines.
• Advise customers on food and wine pairings.
• Ensure that all wines are stored properly at the correct temperature.
• Provide guests with expert advice on selections of speciality wines.
