Job summary

CareerLink HR LLC is recruiting for a Consultant/Specialist Cardiothoracic Surgeon for a prestigious tertiary-care hospital in Dubai, UAE. The role involves leading complex cardiac and thoracic procedures, with a focus on high standards, patient safety, and multidisciplinary collaboration.

You will perform CABG, valve repair/replacement, lung resections, and employ minimally invasive/robotic techniques, while overseeing pre-operative planning and post-operative care in a busy ICU setting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years post specialist or board-certified experience.
• Eligibility for DOH/DHA/MOH licensing.
• Experience with complex cardiac and thoracic procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform CABG, valve repair/replacement and other complex cardiac surgeries.
• Conduct thoracic surgeries including lung resections and mediastinal procedures.
• Utilise minimally invasive and robotic-assisted techniques where appropriate.
• Coordinate pre-operative evaluation and surgical planning for cardiac and thoracic patients.
• Provide post-operative care and ICU coordination.
• Collaborate with cardiologists, pulmonologists, anesthesiologists and intensivists.
• Participate in heart team discussions and multidisciplinary case reviews.
• Manage cardiothoracic surgical emergencies and thoracic trauma.
• Interpret advanced imaging data (echocardiography, CT, catheterisation).
• Ensure infection control and clinical governance compliance.
• Maintain documentation and participate in audits and research.
• Comply with UAE regulations.

American Board of Thoracic Surgery

UK CCT / FRCS (Cardiothoracic Surgery)

European Board Certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery

Royal College Certification (Canada)

FRACS – Cardiothoracic Surgery

Arab Board in Cardiothoracic Surgery

MCh / DNB / FCPS/DM/MS Cardiothoracic Surgery
