Job summary

A prestigious tertiary-care hospital in Abu Dhabi United Arab Emirates is expanding its Cardiothoracic Surgery Program and is seeking a highly accomplished Consultant/Specialist Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join its elite surgical team. This role targets surgeons experienced in complex cardiac and thoracic procedures supported by state-of-the-art facilities and comprehensive critical care services.

Qualifications

• Board-certified cardiothoracic surgeon with UAE licensing eligibility (DOH/DHA/MOH) and board recognition.
• Experience in managing complex cardiac and thoracic procedures with emphasis on patient safety and outcomes.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and participate in heart team discussions.

Responsibilities

• Perform CABG, valve repair/replacement and complex cardiac surgeries.
• Conduct thoracic procedures including lung resections and mediastinal surgeries.
• Utilise minimally invasive and robotic-assisted techniques where appropriate.
• Manage pre-operative evaluation and surgical planning for cardiac and thoracic patients.
• Provide post-operative care and coordinate with ICU and critical care teams.
• Collaborate with cardiologists, pulmonologists, anesthesiologists and intensivists for comprehensive care.
• Participate in multidisciplinary reviews and quality improvement programs.
• Ensure compliance with infection control and UAE regulatory guidelines.
