Job summary

Otis Elevator Company is seeking skilled technicians to perform safety checks, lubrication, testing, and installation tasks at Abu Dhabi client sites. The role requires hands-on experience with elevator components, electrical checks, and adherence to safety standards.

You will participate in inspections, report any NCRs, and assist in returning lifts to normal operation. This on-site position offers growth within Otis’ global service portfolio and exposure to high-profile projects in the region.

Qualifications

• Must perform safety checks at client sites following Otis standards.
• Experience with lubrication and testing of elevator components.
• Ability to install door skates and set door locks under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Conduct safety checks before starting work at client site.
• Lubricate and test the over speed governor.
• Check static balancing and adjust counterweights.
• Lubricate Safety Action Mechanism and test per procedures.
• Install door skates and set door locks after inspection.
• Perform unit safety checks through shaft.
• Check electrical operation of unit including door, buttons, intercom.
• Escalate concerns to Supervisor and file NCR.
• Set controller parameters and return lift to normal operation.
• Adjust acceleration/deceleration and ride quality as per standards.
• Inspect motor pit and escalator steps for debris.
• Test escalator by removing comb plates and winding motor.
• Prepare installation inspection report, field test data report, safety check report.
