Job summary

UnfoldHR is seeking an Electronics Engineer to own the design, development, and validation of electronics and embedded control systems for Atmospheric Water Generation machines in UAE. You will ensure reliable operation of compressors, sensors, and safety systems across hot, humid environments.

You will lead hardware design (schematics, BOM, PCB reviews), select sensors and actuators, develop firmware, and implement data logging and communications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering; Master’s preferred.
• 3–7 years of experience in electronics or embedded systems.
• HVAC, refrigeration, appliances, dehumidification, or similar products preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain control electronics (schematics, BOM, PCB reviews) for AWG systems (residential to commercial).
• Select and integrate sensors (temperature, humidity, pressure, flow, water quality) and actuators (compressors, fans, pumps, valves, heaters).
• Develop embedded firmware and control logic for start-up, normal operation, defrost, sanitation, alarms, and safe shutdown.
• Implement communication protocols and data logging (Modbus/RS485, CAN, Ethernet, Wi‑Fi).
• Design for DFM/DFT, reliability, and operation in hot, humid, and dusty environments.
• Lead board bring-up, debugging, and system integration testing.
• Perform root-cause analysis and drive corrective actions.
• Support EMC, safety, and pre-compliance testing for certifications.
• Collaborate with mechanical and thermodynamics teams to optimise refrigeration-cycle performance and water yield.
