Application Engineer – A/C Division (HVAC) – Dubai, UAE

Overview of the Role

We seek a technically skilled and detail-oriented Application Engineer to join our A/C Division in Dubai. In this role, you will independently manage application engineering tasks, including design, estimation, equipment selection, technical documentation, and pricing. You will play a critical role in supporting the sales team, ensuring project compliance, and aligning technical solutions with business goals.

Key Responsibilities

Engineering & Design

• Perform accurate design calculations and equipment selection for HVAC systems, particularly DX units and VRF systems.
• Prepare estimation sheets, technical submittals, tender compliance documents, and competitive quotations for all HVAC product lines.

Sales & Technical Support

• Collaborate closely with the Sales Team to provide technically sound, cost-effective solutions tailored to each project.
• Ensure the timely delivery of technical documentation and support to achieve sales targets and meet client deadlines.

Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination

• Liaise with international principals and suppliers on technical specifications and pricing.
• Maintain effective communication with developers, consultants, and MEP contractors to stay informed on market opportunities.

Reporting & Forecasting

• Generate accurate reports for senior management on project progress, forecasting, and market trends.
• Provide inputs for budgeting and planning based on ongoing and upcoming projects.

Strategic Contributions

• Business Strategy: Develop strategies to enhance competitive positioning and optimise cross‑selling opportunities with other engineering divisions.
• Market Intelligence: Monitor market developments, current and upcoming projects, and competitor activity to support business development initiatives.

Candidate Profile

Required Skills and Experience

• 3–5 years of experience in application engineering within the HVAC industry, preferably in a multinational or large regional firm.
• Strong knowledge in the selection and application of HVAC systems: Ducted Splits, VRF Systems, Package Units, AHUS, FCUS, and Chillers.
• Proficient in project estimation, cost analysis, compliance review, and technical documentation.
• Familiarity with HAP software and Autocad is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• A proactive team player with a strong customer focus and problem‑solving mindset.
• Proficient in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Valid UAE driving license preferred.
• Existing client network in the HVAC sector is a plus.
