Job summary

Apparel Group in Dubai seeks an experienced electrical technician to perform installation, maintenance, and repair across our retail and corporate facilities. You will ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety standards to support uninterrupted operations.

The ideal candidate has an ITI or Diploma in Electrical, 4–6 years’ experience with wiring diagrams and switchgear, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams. On-site supervision of junior electricians is part of the role.

Qualifications

• ITI certification or diploma in electrical trade is required.
• 4-6 years of relevant experience in assisting with electrical installations and maintenance.
• Knowledge of electrical diagrams and troubleshooting techniques advisable.
• Experience with emergency lighting and power systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems across facilities.
• Interpret drawings, load calculations, and wiring diagrams for installations.
• Supervise assistants on site and ensure safety compliance.
• Maintain logs of work, materials, and recommendations.
• Coordinate with HVAC, AV, carpentry, and maintenance teams.

Key Responsibility

• Assist in installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems including lighting, power distribution, control panels, switchgear, and emergency backup systems.
• Diagnose electrical faults, conduct detailed inspections, and troubleshoot issues in wiring, circuits, outlets, and fixtures.
• Ensure adherence to preventive maintenance schedules and complete assigned tasks within defined timelines and quality standards.
• Review and interpret electrical drawings, layouts, load calculations, and wiring diagrams to execute installations accurately.
• Supervise and guide assistant electricians during on-site work, ensuring proper techniques and compliance.
• Maintain accurate logs of electrical work carried out, materials used, and follow-up recommendations.
• Coordinate with HVAC, AV, carpentry, and maintenance teams to support cross-functional technical delivery.
• Respond promptly to electrical emergencies and unplanned outages, minimizing operational disruption.
• Maintain electrical tools, testing equipment, and ensure compliance with PPE and safety protocols.
• Recommend material specifications and support procurement of required electrical components and consumables.

Desired Experience

• ITI certification or Diploma in Electrical or related trade.
• 4-6 years of relevant experience in assisting with electrical installations and maintenance, preferably in retail or commercial settings.
• Basic knowledge of electrical tools, wiring diagrams, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Ability to follow instructions, work as part of a team, and adhere to safety standards.
• Experience working with emergency lighting, switchboards, and power systems is preferred.
