Job summary

Engie is seeking an experienced Electrician for the Operations team at site ES3201 Noor Phase 2 in Abu Dhabi. The role involves highly skilled maintenance, installation, repair and troubleshooting of electrical systems in industrial facilities.

Main duties include repair and maintenance across equipment, installation of lighting and panels, diagram reading, material coordination, and emergency response. A Diploma or apprenticeship and strong safety focus are expected.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintenance work in a wide range of electrical equipment.
• Installs services and repairs lighting fixtures, electrical panels, outlets, and wiring.
• Operates power hand tools and other specialized electrical equipment.
• Installs, repairs, services electrical equipment and machinery.
• Constructs and maintains service equipment.
• Reads electrical circuit diagrams.
• Requisitions materials and supplies and coordinates with vendors.
• Transfers primary power from one source to another.
• Sets poles and overhead lines; performs overhead line maintenance.

Job Purpose

Employee preforms highly skilled maintenance installation repair and troubleshooting work involved with Electrical Systems. Work involves technical application of electrical principles.

Key Responsibilities

• Repair and maintenance work in a wide range of electrical equipment.
• Installs services and repairs lighting fixtures electrical panels outlets and wirings.
• Operates power hand tools and other specialized electrical equipment.
• Installs repairs services specialized electrical equipment and machinery.
• Constructs and maintains service equipment.
• Read electrical circuit diagrams.
• Requisitions materials and supplies from stockroom; calls vendors to discuss needs for parts and supplies and recommends purchases and suppliers.
• Transfers primary power from one power source to another.
• Sets poles strings overhead lines and does overhead line maintenance.
• May do other trades work incidental to electrical work.
• Maintains essential stock of spare parts.
• Responding promptly and efficiently to emergency calls.
• Assist with all emergency services e.g. Fire Alarms Lighting Batteries and Standby Power requirements inclusive of generators and Fire Fighting System.

Scope and Limits of Authority

SCOPE

• Can work independently on a wide range of electrical tasks including installation maintenance and repair of electrical systems. They can also supervise apprentices.

LIMIT

• May not be authorized to design electrical systems or take on largescale projects without the oversight of a master electrician
