Electrical Technician – Power Plant

Job summary

TASC Outsourcing is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on power generation equipment in Ras Al Khaimah. You will inspect, service, and replace worn components in turbines, boilers, generators, transformers, and pumps, while diagnosing faults and documenting actions in CMMS.

You will read schematics and manuals, use diagnostic tools, and respond to outages to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Technical / vocational certification in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Maintenance will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on turbines, boilers, generators, transformers, pumps, and auxiliary systems.
• Conduct equipment inspections, lubrication, cleaning, servicing, and replacement of worn components.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment failures and operational issues.
• Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and equipment drawings.
• Use diagnostic tools and test equipment to identify faults and implement corrective actions.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns, outages, and equipment failures to minimize downtime.
• Carry out testing, calibration, and adjustment of equipment and instruments.
• Monitor equipment performance and support optimization of generation efficiency.
• Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance activities as required.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, maintenance, and equipment performance.
• Update maintenance activities in CMMS / maintenance management systems.
• Ensure all activities comply with established HSE, safety, operational, and quality procedures.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to maintenance reliability and operational performance.
