Manav Corporate seeks a Technician, Electrical Maintenance (Onshore) for our Abu Dhabi site. You will perform preventive, corrective, and troubleshooting maintenance on electrical equipment to ensure reliability of process facilities.

The role requires handling high-risk environments (H2S exposure) with strict safety adherence and potential shift work. Face-to-face interviews in Mumbai in November 2026.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent vocational trade certificate.
• 4 years of experience in Electrical maintenance within the Oil and Gas industry.

Responsabilités

• Carry out routine and preventive maintenance work, repair, and testing of electrical equipment.
• Isolate and energize LV and HV motors, UPS, transformers, generators and other electrical circuits per SOPs and certifications.
• Fault finding, diagnosis and troubleshooting of high and low voltage equipment.

• Attend call-out jobs; work day/night shifts and extended hours as required.

Technician, Electrical Maintenance (Onshore)

Reports to: Team Leader, Onshore Maintenance (Electrical)

Department - Maintenance Department/ Onshore Maintenance

JOB PURPOSE:

Perform preventive, corrective, and troubleshooting maintenance and testing of all electrical equipment in

the plant to maintain the availability and reliability of the process facilities

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Job Specific:

• Carry out routine and preventive maintenance work, repair, and testing of equipment in line with

Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and standards to fulfill the requirements of the work request

or work order.

• Isolate and energize Low Voltage (LV) and High Voltage (HV) motors, UPS, transformers,

generators, and other electrical circuits as per Companys enabling certificate authorization, including

skilled electrical fault finding, diagnosis, and troubleshooting of high and low voltage equipment.

• Accept and complete the Electrical isolation confirmation certificate to ensure completion of activities.

• Identify and obtain spare parts and necessary tools to meet maintenance requirements.

• Carry out routine, predictive, and preventive maintenance checks on electrical equipment, including

visual inspection, to ensure the equipment is in the most efficient operating condition.

• Perform new installations, modifications, and testing of equipment through various stages as per

plan and supervisors instructions, ensuring adherence to all parameters.

• Identify areas for improvement in activities performed and assist senior team personnel in carrying

out modifications and improvements to the system.

• Verify completed maintenance activities and complete the maintenance activity sheet/survey to

ensure the job is performed as required.

• Complete necessary records in the system to provide work order failure history reporting and provide

input for the preparation of method statements and initiate near-miss reports.

• Update and maintain drawings, records, and other documents related to electrical systems for

continuous availability.

• This position is handling activities within Red Zone and involves continuous exposure to high-risk

environments containing elevated concentrations of hydrogen sulphide (H2S), requiring strict

adherence to safety protocols and use of specialized protective equipment.

• Attend call out jobs and may require working in day / night shift and extended hours.

• Familiar with WMS (Work Management System) roles & requirements.

• Prepare work areas for electrical maintenance and reinstate them after completing maintenance

activities.

• Perform preventive and emergency maintenance on all equipment on-site during scheduled or

unscheduled shutdowns to ensure equipment reliability.

• Participate in assigned plant shutdown activities and ensure timely completion of job activities.

• Perform other similar or related duties as required.

Generic:

Supervision & People Development

• Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.

• Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job

and deliver the respective section objectives.

Operational Plans

• Develop consistent and realistic long and short term operational plans for the Department in line with

the Division objectives and manage the implementation of the approved long and short term plans and

ensure they are effectively converted into its performance objectives to realise the Division Objectives

and established service levels.

Budgets and Cost Control

• Develop and manage the Department annual budget in line with the Divisions business objectives and

operational plans ensuring that adequate funding provision is made for all Department activities.

• Monitor expenditure against approved Department budget on a regular basis; investigate, highlight and

reconcile any significant variances to ensure effective performance and cost control.

Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures

• Develop and implement appropriate Department policies, processes, systems, standards, procedures

and internal controls, Company guidelines in order to support execution of the Divisions work programs

in line with Company and International standards.

Performance Management

• Contribute to the development of the Divisions KPIs and ensure proper cascade of the Performance

objectives within the Department and establish monitoring mechanisms to ensure delivery of these

objectives and promote a performance driven culture.

• Manage the implementation of the Company Performance Management System for individuals within

the Department in accordance with Company approved guidelines.

People Development

• Develop knowledge, competencies and innovative spirit in the Department and support the

establishment of Succession Planning and Talent pipeline within the Department in coordination with

the Human Capital to continuously develop employees with emphasis on UAE Nationals to meet

Emiratization targets.

Organisation Structure and Development

• Review, develop and recommend the appropriate organisation structure for the Department that will

best utilise human capital while proactively incorporating sustainability into the on-going work practices

to meet the business objectives.

Risk Management

• Contribute and support establishment of a Corporate Integrated Risk Management System within the

Department, while identifying and assessing relevant domain risks and implement measures to manage

and mitigate all identified risks within the Department.

• Communicate corporate business ethics and Companys Code of Conduct to employees within the

Department and ensure compliance to the Corporate Policies and guidelines.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement

• Promote an organisation culture that encourages innovation, enhances employee motivation and

supports initiatives for implementation of Change Management to continuously improve the Department

operations and services.

• Recommend improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency

in line with best Industry standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the

Department.

Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability

• Ensure adequate HSE training and induction for all Department employees to meet HSE standards.

Management Reports

• Ensure that all Department MIS and progress reports are prepared to provide accurate and timely

reports and necessary information to Company Management to effectively manage the business.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

Minimum Qualification

• Completion of Technical Secondary (12 years) education followed by Diploma in Electrical

Engineering or a vocational trade certificate in the relevant field.

Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills

• 4 years of experience in Electrical maintenance within the Oil and Gas industry.
