Job summary

ADNOC Distribution seeks an experienced electrical maintenance technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance, inspections and repairs across service stations, vehicle inspection centers and customer sites in Al Ain or Sharjah. The role involves traveling by company pickup to attend to defects while adhering to HSE standards and safety procedures.

The ideal candidate has a technical diploma with vocational certification and at least 4 years of maintenance experience in the Oil & Gas

• Technical diploma or equivalent with vocational trade certificate in the relevant field.
• 4 years of experience in Maintenance department in Oil and Gas Industry.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive & corrective maintenance, inspections and repair of electrical systems and equipment at service stations, vehicle inspection centers and customer sites.
• Perform routine and scheduled inspection and maintenance of electrical equipment; maintain records.
• Test electrical systems after repair and rectify faults using diagrams and manuals.
• Ensure safety procedures, Lockout/Tagout and compliance with HSE standards during all electrical works.
• Provide information status to Electrical Supervisor and assist in scheduling and permits.

Job is regularly Self  driving company  pick  up  to  locations  for  attending  to  defects.

Job Specific Accountabilities

Maintenance Execution

• Carry out the service, repair and maintenance activities of all electrical systems and equipment including maintenance of low and medium Voltage Equipment, Switchgear, Control Panels, equipment and buildings at the Service Station, Vehicle Inspection Centers and Customer Sites, in accordance with corporate, engineering, and technical standards and safety and environmental requirements.
• Conduct regular routine and scheduled inspection and maintenance of all electrical equipment, maintain records, and monitor condition continually.
• Test electrical/electronic systems, equipment, and installations after repair for satisfactory operations.
• Trace out and rectify faults by following the circuit diagrams and equipment drawings/manuals.
• Perform a functional test on equipment and check for satisfactory working, report and attend to faults, carry out periodic checks on all mobile and static equipment and installations. Report and attend Breakdown faults, carry out any necessary repair and maintenance works, and record accordingly on standards forms.
• Attend all assigned jobs promptly, carry out necessary repair works and ensure that equipment is returned to service with minimum downtime, while ensuring all safety precautions are taken before and during execution of electrical works.
• Ensure the safety instructions are rigidly adhered to during all stages of the work in a hazardous area (safety checks/Lock out, Tag outs).
• Carry out all electrical/electronic modification work as directed by the Electrical Supervisor and as per safety procedures.
• Provide information to Electrical Supervisor on the status of facility, preventive and repair work scheduling, processing of work orders and safety work permits.

• Provide on-the-job Training to meet Competency Based Training programs for UAE Nationalization.

Tool Box

• Maintain all tools, safety gear and equipment provided by company safely and in working condition.
• Arrange for repair or replacement of any tools and safety gear that may not be in good working condition.

Time Management

• Carry out all maintenance jobs in line with assigned time standards.
• Inform the Maintenance Supervisor in case additional resources are required to carry out the job within the assigned time frame.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement

• Contribute to the identification of areas and opportunities for continuous improvement in the operating procedures, modification of functional processes, machinery or equipment.

Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability

• Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices.
• Participate in Emergency Response duties as a team member.

Housekeeping

• Maintain the work environment clean and tidy before, during and after executing the job, in line with established standards of Hygiene and Housekeeping.

Reports

• Collect technical data from the field as required and provide inputs to prepare Section progress reports for Company Management.
• Provide input for the preparation of Method statements and initiate Near Miss reports.
