Job summary

ADNOC seeks an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems at service stations, vehicle inspection centers, and customer sites in the UAE.

The role involves driving company vehicles to sites, conducting inspections, testing after repairs, tracing faults from diagrams, and ensuring strict HSE and lockout/tagout procedures are followed to minimize downtime and maintain safe operations.

Qualifications

• Technical Diploma or Secondary School Certificate with a vocational trade certificate in the relevant field.
• 4 years of experience in Maintenance department in Oil and Gas Industry.

Responsibilities

• Carry out the service, repair and maintenance activities of electrical systems and equipment at Service Stations, Vehicle Inspection Centers and Customer Sites, following standards and safety requirements.
• Conduct regular routine and scheduled inspection and maintenance of electrical equipment, maintain records, and monitor condition.
• Test electrical/electronic systems, equipment, and installations after repair for satisfactory operation.
• Trace out and rectify faults by following circuit diagrams and equipment drawings/manuals.
• Perform functional tests, report and attend to faults, and record accordingly on standard forms.
• Attend all assigned jobs promptly, ensure equipment is returned to service with minimum downtime and adhere to safety procedures (Lockout/Tagout).
• Provide information to Electrical Supervisor on status of works, scheduling, and permits.

Job Purpose

Work location: In Al Ain or Sharjah

Carry out preventive & corrective maintenance, inspections, and repair works for all electrical systems andequipment at Service Station, Vehicle Inspection Centers and Customer Sites as per equipment standardsand manufacturers recommendations, in compliance with HSE standards. Job involves regular Self driving ofcompany pick up to locations for attending to defects.

Job Specific Accountabilities

Maintenance Execution

• Carry out the service, repair and maintenance activities of all electrical systems and equipment includingmaintenance of low and medium Voltage Equipment, Switchgear, Control Panels, equipment andbuildings at the Service Station, Vehicle Inspection Centers and Customer Sites, in accordance withcorporate, engineering, and technical standards and safety and environmental requirements.
• Conduct regular routine and scheduled inspection and maintenance of all electrical equipment, maintainrecords, and monitor condition continually.
• Test electrical/electronic systems, equipment, and installations after repair for satisfactory operations.
• Trace out and rectify faults by following the circuit diagrams and equipment drawings/manuals.
• Perform a functional test on equipment and check for satisfactory working, report and attend to faults,carry out periodic checks on all mobile and static equipment and installations. Report and attendBreakdown faults, carry out any necessary repair and maintenance works, and record accordingly onstandards forms.
• Attend all assigned jobs promptly, carry out necessary repair works and ensure that equipment isreturned to service with minimum downtime, while ensuring all safety precautions are taken before andduring execution of electrical works.
• Ensure the safety instructions are rigidly adhered to during all stages of the work in a hazardous area(safety checks/Lock out, Tag outs).
• Carry out all electrical/electronic modification work as directed by the Electrical Supervisor and as persafety procedures.
• Provide information to Electrical Supervisor on the status of facility, preventive and repair workscheduling, processing of work orders and safety work permits.

Training

• Provide on-the-job Training to meet Competency Based Training programs for UAE Nationalization.

Tool Box

• Maintain all tools, safety gear and equipment provided by company safely and in working condition.
• Arrange for repair or replacement of any tools and safety gear that may not be in good working condition.

Time Management

• Carry out all maintenance jobs in line with assigned time standards.
• Inform the Maintenance Supervisor in case additional resources are required to carry out the job within the assigned time frame.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement

• Contribute to the identification of areas and opportunities for continuous improvement in the operating procedures, modification of functional processes, machinery or equipment.

Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability

• Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices.
• Participate in Emergency Response duties as a team member.

Housekeeping

• Maintain the work environment clean and tidy before, during and after executing the job, in line with established standards of Hygiene and Housekeeping.

Reports

• Collect technical data from the field as required and provide inputs to prepare Section progress reports for Company Management.
• Provide input for the preparation of Method statements and initiate Near Miss reports.
