Job summary

Manav Corporate is seeking a Mechanical Supervisor for the UAE (Abu Dhabi) to lead onshore maintenance activities. The role involves supervising installation, maintenance, repair, testing, and preventive/predictive maintenance of rotating and static equipment to maximize reliability and availability.

The successful candidate will plan and supervise maintenance tasks, ensure quality through progress reports, and contribute to safety discussions.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 5 years of experience in supervising mechanical maintenance activities in the Oil and Gas industry.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, execute, and supervise rotating/static equipment preventive/predictive maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure reliability and availability.
• Inspect and follow up on task progress and final completion, providing reports to ensure timely and quality job execution.
• Provide technical support, prepare scope of work, contracts, cost reporting, and participate in negotiations for equipment repair to meet required standards and cost-effectiveness.
• Update refurbished equipment database and history for the equipment and their accessories to ensure effective equipment keeping.
• Participate and conduct daily/weekly safety toolbox talks to discuss safety and methods of completing job tasks.
• Supervise the testing and commissioning of new or modified equipment or systems, ensuring that repairs conform to correct methods and safety procedures.
• Participate in the planning, scheduling, and execution of shutdown and major overhaul maintenance activities.
• Direct and participate in performing condition monitoring of rotating equipment and advise on the maintenance schedule based on the analysis.
• Interface and coordinate with other sections in sorting out equipment problems and maintenance activities.
• Monitor and ensure that the shutdown maintenance jobs are carried out within the scheduled time frame.
• Update the equipment data, history, and maintenance records in the SAP system.

JOB PURPOSE:

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

• Minimum Qualification
• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills
