Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Abu Dhabi seeks an Assistant Resident Engineer – Electrical to supervise construction, testing, and commissioning of 132 kV+ substations, ensuring adherence to drawings, specs, and HSE requirements.

You will monitor equipment erection, witness tests, coordinate with contractors and clients, and prepare site reports to support on-time project delivery, drawing on 10+ years of substation experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
10+ years of experience in substation projects (132 kV and above).
Experience with AIS/GIS substations, testing & commissioning, and construction supervision.

Responsibilities

Supervise construction and installation activities for AIS/GIS substations (132 kV and above).
Monitor erection of transformers, switchgear, CTs, VTs, isolators, protection panels, SCADA, and related equipment.
Witness testing and commissioning; review test reports and ensure compliance with drawings and specifications.
Coordinate with contractors, clients and project teams to ensure timely delivery and quality.
Monitor progress and prepare site reports; identify and resolve technical/construction issues on site.
