Job summary

PeopleStrong seeks a Design Lead (Primary - Electrical) to lead primary engineering activities for AIS/GIS substation projects. You will guide a team, review layouts, and ensure timely, compliant deliverables across multiple domains, including BIM model development and inter-department checks.

The role requires strong knowledge of substation equipment layouts, inter-disciplinary design, and adherence to international standards. Collaboration with site teams and vendors is essential.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Electrical or Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
• 10–12 years of design experience in primary engineering for substations / power distribution projects.

Responsibilities

• Review engineering documents from remote offices and assign to local adaptation consultants.
• Coordinate with Uzbekistan-based contractor for construction issues and drawings approval.
• Ensure timely delivery of engineering drawings and documents aligned to project schedule.
• Review vendor deliverables for primary engineering and ensure compliance with client specifications.
• Lead a team of design engineers and drafters within budget and quality constraints.
• Provide support to site execution teams and clarify design-related issues.
