Job summary

Larsen & Toubro seeks an experienced Design Lead (Primary) for AIS/GIS substations in the UAE. You will review and execute primary engineering activities, lead engineers/draughtsmen, and coordinate with inter-department checks to ensure on-time, high-quality outputs.

You will support pre-bid engineering through commissioning, liaising with internal teams and clients to ensure compliance with standards and project requirements.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics Engineering
• 10-12 years of design experience in Substations/Power Distribution projects

Responsibilities

• Review engineering documents and assign to local adaptation consultants for translation and local compliance
• Coordinate with Uzbekistan-based contractor for construction issues
• Coordinate with ACWA and NEGU for drawing approvals
• Timely delivery of engineering drawings and documents
• Ensure deliveries align with project schedule
• Review drawings and sizing calculations of electrical equipment and obtain client approvals
• Review vendor deliverables for primary engineering
• Lead a team of design engineers and draughtspersons
• Provide support to site execution team
• Gather inputs from client and project management for GA drawings and layouts
