Job summary

Sembol Construction seeks an Electrical/Mechanical Draughtsman with at least 5 years in UAE construction to prepare shop drawings, as-builts, and coordinate MEP services in line with project requirements.

Office location in Abu Dhabi (Near Marina Mall) with strict emphasis on accuracy, regulatory compliance, and coordination across architectural, structural, and other services. Freshers are not considered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience as Electrical or Mechanical Draughtsman.
• Experience in UAE construction industry is mandatory.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and preparation of shop drawings and as-built drawings.
• Good knowledge of MEP coordination and building services.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, develop, and revise detailed electrical or mechanical shop drawings using AutoCAD.
• Prepare and update as-built drawings to reflect site conditions and modifications.
• Coordinate MEP drawings with architectural, structural, and other building services drawings.
• Identify and resolve drawing discrepancies and clashes through MEP coordination.
• Interpret engineering specifications, construction drawings, and project requirements.
• Ensure drawings comply with UAE regulations, project specs, and industry standards.
• Coordinate with project engineers, site teams, consultants, and other disciplines for timely submissions.
• Incorporate consultant comments and revisions into drawings as required.
• Maintain documentation and update drawings with project progress.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, develop, and revise detailed electrical or mechanical shop drawings using AutoCAD.
• Prepare and update as-built drawings to reflect actual site conditions and approved modifications.
• Coordinate MEP drawings with architectural, structural, and other building services drawings.
• Identify and resolve drawing discrepancies and potential clashes through effective MEP coordination.
• Interpret engineering specifications, construction drawings, and project requirements accurately.
• Ensure all drawings comply with applicable UAE regulations, project specifications, and relevant industry standards.
• Coordinate with project engineers, site teams, consultants, and other disciplines to ensure accurate and timely drawing submissions.
