Job summary

Washmen in the United Arab Emirates is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician with a valid UAE driving license to support the upkeep, repair, and operation of our facility's electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems, including commercial laundry machines.

The role requires hands-on troubleshooting, compliance with safety standards, accurate maintenance records, and the ability to read drawings and wire diagrams. Shift-based duties may include on-call repairs to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• Diploma / ITI / Technical Certificate in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in electrical maintenance in industrial settings.
• Hands-on troubleshooting of electrical systems and machinery.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Experience using testing tools (multimeters, clamp meters, insulation testers).
• Experience with commercial laundry equipment preferred.
• Valid UAE driving license is mandatory.

Responsibilities

Role Purpose

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Electrical Maintenance Technician with a valid UAE Driving License to support the upkeep, repair, and efficient operation of our facility's equipment and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise across electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems, along with hands‑on experience in maintaining and repairing commercial laundry machines. This role requires a proactive individual who can troubleshoot issues efficiently and ensure smooth day‑to‑day operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on facility equipment, including commercial laundry machines.
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests to minimize operational downtime.
• Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and spare parts used.
• Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
• Provide support for emergency maintenance needs as required.
• Carry out electrical wiring, installations, repairs, and modifications as required.
• Maintain and troubleshoot industrial laundry machinery and related equipment.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and minimize machine downtime.
• Conduct routine inspections and identify potential electrical issues before they result in breakdowns.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals.
• Test electrical components and circuits using appropriate testing equipment.
• Maintain records of preventive maintenance, breakdowns, repairs, and spare parts used.
• Coordinate with the Maintenance Supervisor and other departments regarding equipment-related issues.
• Ensure maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with HSE and electrical safety requirements.
• Follow lockout/tagout and other safety procedures while working on electrical equipment.
• Support installation and commissioning of new electrical equipment and machinery.
• Maintain adequate stock of electrical spare parts and report requirements to the supervisor.
• Support other maintenance activities when required.

Key Requirements

• Diploma / ITI / Technical Certificate in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 2–4 years of experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in an industrial, manufacturing, laundry, or facilities environment.
• Hands‑on experience in troubleshooting industrial electrical systems and machinery.
• Good knowledge of electrical panels, motors, sensors, contactors, relays, breakers, and control circuits.
• Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Experience using electrical testing tools such as multimeters, clamp meters, and insulation testers.
• Experience in the maintenance and repair of commercial laundry equipment is preferred
• Valid UAE Driving License is mandatory.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and equipment diagrams
• Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

• Exposure to high heat, humidity, and cleaning chemicals.
• Ability to safely lift and move heavy equipment and machinery.
• Ability to climb ladders, work in confined spaces, and stand for extended periods.
• Shift‑based schedule (Day & Night), with occasional on‑call duties for emergency repairs, including weekends or off days.
