Job summary

Transguard Group LLC, via Transguard Workforce Solutions, seeks an Electrical Instrumentation EI Assistant Technician for a 6-month contract at their Dubai plant. You will assist E I Technicians with preventive and breakdown maintenance of electrical and instrumentation systems, following LOTO and PTW procedures and supporting emergency calls.

Qualifications

• ITI or Diploma in Electrical Engineering/Electrical Technology required.
• Experience in electrical maintenance in industrial environments is essential.
• Oil & gas, terminals, petrochemical, energy, or industrial facilities experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist E I Technicians in planned preventive maintenance per schedules and OEM guidance.
• Support corrective maintenance and emergency breakdown repairs.
• Assist in inspection, testing, servicing of electrical systems and equipment.
• Handle electrical testing instruments (Multimeter, IR Tester, Earth Tester).
• Assist in troubleshooting electrical faults under supervision.
• Support maintenance on motors, LV panels, transformers, transmitters and related equipment.
• Follow LOTO procedures and all site safety requirements.
• Ensure proper use of tools, testing equipment and PPE.
• Comply with PTW requirements and site safety regulations.
• Maintain housekeeping in working areas and workshops.
• Support maintenance activities during normal hours and emergencies.

We are currently recruiting for an Electrical Instrumentation E I Assistant Technician- 6 Months Contract for our client to be based out of their Dubai Plant

Purpose- To assist Electrical Instrumentation Technicians in carrying out preventive corrective and breakdown maintenance activities for electrical and instrumentation systems and equipment across EIL terminals The role supports maintenance operations in both general and hazardous area environments while adhering to company safety standards and procedures

• Assist E I Technicians in planned preventive maintenance activities as per maintenance schedules and OEM recommendations
• Support corrective maintenance and emergency breakdown repairs on electrical and instrumentation equipment
• Assist in inspection testing servicing and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment
• Handle and use electrical testing instruments such as Multimeter Insulation Resistance IR Tester Earth Tester
• Assist in troubleshooting electrical faults under the guidance of senior technicians
• Support maintenance works on motors motor control systems LV panels transformers transmitters and associated equipment
• Follow Lockout Tagout LOTO procedures and all site safety requirements
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools testing equipment and personal protective equipment PPE
• Comply with permit-to-work PTW requirements and site safety regulations
• Maintain housekeeping standards in working areas and workshops
• Support maintenance activities during normal working hours and emergency call-outs when required

• ITI, Diploma, or equivalent Trade Certificate in Electrical Engineering/Electrical Technology.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical maintenance or electrical works in an industrial environment.
• Experience in using electrical testing instruments such as Multimeters, IR Testers, and Earth Testers.
• Experience within oil & gas, terminals, petrochemical, energy, or industrial facilities will be an advantage.
