Job summary

Star Services LLC seeks a Junior Instrument Technician for offshore Oil & Gas operations. The role involves calibration, maintenance and troubleshooting of control systems to ensure continuous production.

You will handle breakdowns, preventive maintenance, and commissioning support in a demanding offshore environment. Applicants should hold a Diploma in Instrumentation & Control Engineering and have 7+ years of experience maintaining field instruments and control systems in the oil and gas

Qualifications

• 7+ years' experience in maintenance of field instruments and control systems in Oil & Gas.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate and overhaull control valves and field instruments; record calibration data.
• Attend breakdowns and implement corrective actions per procedures.
• Carry out preventive maintenance to ensure uninterrupted operations at all plant locations.
• Troubleshoot PLC, DCS, hydraulic control, electro-mechanical and other controllers.
• Assist in equipment start up and commissioning after maintenance.

Job Description

• Conduct calibration and overhauling work for the control valves and field instruments, record all data calibration report for future references
• Attend to breakdowns and perform corrective actions, ensuring adherence to procedures
• Carryout preventive maintenance activities at all plant locations according to defined schedules to facilitate uninterrupted operations
• Carry out troubleshooting on PLC, DCS, Hydraulic Control, Electro-Mechanical and other controllers of the control systems.
• Conduct troubleshooting, testing, maintenance, installation, inspection, pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up, and operation support.
• Check all Instrument materials about the quantity for emergency purposes in the warehouse.
• Assists in equipment start up and commissioning after maintenance activity is completed to ensure smooth recommencing of operations.
