Job summary

Tanqeeb is seeking an experienced offshore electrical technician in the UAE to perform maintenance, installation, and modifications of electrical machinery across facilities. You will prepare tools, observe PTW safety, and follow all safety and quality procedures to minimize downtime.

You will handle preventive maintenance, respond to breakdowns, and help schedule daily work orders while coordinating with supervisors. UAE experience and strong English are required.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of relevant Oil & Gas experience is required in UAE.
• Proficient in English communication and basic computer skills.
• Comprehensive knowledge of plant and equipment used in offshore facilities.
• Adherence to industry standards and codes is essential.

Responsibilities

Job description

• Carry out electrical maintenance, modifications, and installation of various electrical machinery and equipment across all offshore facilities.

• Assist in organizing and preparing the necessary tools and materials required for maintenance activities.

• Possess strong knowledge of the PTW system in the oil and gas industry and ensure correct use of safety equipment and PPEs.

• Follow all relevant occupational health, safety, environmental, and quality procedures and instructions.

• Ensure all relevant operational procedures and instructions are followed in the electrical section so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.

• Attend to breakdowns and effect corrective actions, ensuring adherence to procedures & guidelines to reduce downtime and maximize functionality of equipment.

• Conduct preventive maintenance activities at all plant, camp and communication facilities according to defined schedules to facilitate uninterrupted operations.

• Assist in prepare corresponding daily work schedules to maintain systems & equipment according to work requisitions on priority basis and upon approvals from Supervisor–Electrical ensure timely implementation of daily work order.

• Assists in equipment start up and commissioning after maintenance activity is completed to ensure smooth recommencing of operations.

• Ensure tools, material and spare parts are prepared as per maintenance schedules and daily work orders to assist in the maintenance activities.
