The Electrical Inspector supports construction quality by independently examining electrical systems at key stages of project delivery. The position focuses on confirming that wiring, distribution equipment, grounding systems, protective devices and associated installations are completed in accordance with approved drawings, technical specifications and applicable electrical standards. By maintaining accurate inspection records and working closely with contractors, engineers and project teams, the inspector helps prevent defects, reduce rework and ensure that completed building systems are safe, compliant and ready for commissioning and handover.
The preferred candidate will hold a diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering and bring at least 8 years of experience in electrical building construction inspection or a closely related discipline. Strong practical knowledge of building electrical systems, inspection procedures and construction quality requirements is essential. The role requires the ability to interpret electrical drawings and specifications, assess installation workmanship and recognize technical or safety deficiencies during site inspections. Candidates should be comfortable preparing formal inspection documentation, coordinating with contractors and consultants and following issues through to satisfactory closure. Familiarity with UAE construction practices and IEC electrical standards will be particularly valuable.
