The Electrical Inspector will provide technical oversight of electrical works throughout construction, testing, and completion stages. The position ensures that electrical installations are executed according to approved drawings, project specifications, applicable codes, safety requirements, and accepted workmanship standards. The role requires continuous coordination with contractors, engineers, project managers, and other construction disciplines. Accurate inspections and timely identification of deficiencies will help prevent unsafe installations, reduce rework, maintain construction progress, and ensure electrical systems are ready for reliable operation and final acceptance.
Candidates should have at least 6 years of professional experience in electrical inspection, electrical construction, or closely related site supervision work. Comprehensive understanding of electrical systems is essential, particularly power distribution, lighting, fire alarm systems, grounding, protective devices, and construction-related safety systems. Candidates should also be familiar with NEC, IEC, UAE-specific electrical requirements, and recognized construction safety standards. Previous supervisory or leadership experience on active construction sites is important. The role requires the confidence to assess electrical installations independently, identify non-compliance, recommend corrective measures and communicate technical decisions professionally. Proficiency with inspection tools and digital reporting applications is expected. Familiarity with CAD or electrical design software will be advantageous, while an electrical inspection license or related professional certification is preferred. Strong organizational skills, technical judgment, accurate documentation, clear English communication, and the physical ability to conduct inspections in varied site conditions is important for successful performance.
