Job summary

Siemens Energy in Dubai invites an Engineering Working Intern to join our Grid Technologies Substations unit, collaborating with senior engineers on calculations, drawings, and documentation that support real infrastructure delivery across the UAE. You will refine technical schematics, organize critical project records, and help ensure substation projects move forward accurately and on schedule.

This hands-on internship offers exposure to CAD tools, data analysis, and professional teamwork

Qualifications

Enrolled in or a fresh graduate with a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or closely related field.
Solid foundation in core engineering principles from coursework.
Working knowledge of CAD software (AutoCAD) and ability to support data analysis tasks.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office for documentation and reporting.
Strong learning agility and attention to detail with quick concept uptake.
Effective communication and teamwork to collaborate with senior engineers.

Responsibilities

Support senior engineers with calculations, data collection, and technical analysis for substation projects.
Assist in preparing and modifying technical drawings and schematics using CAD under supervision.
Review technical specifications and project documentation to understand requirements and standards.
Participate in team meetings to stay informed on project status and challenges.
Contribute to creation and maintenance of essential project documentation and records.
Organize engineering files in the document management system and provide admin support.

The work you contribute from refining technical schematics to organizing critical project records directly helps our engineering teams keep substation projects moving accurately and on schedule for our clients and partners.

How You’ll Make An Impact

Support senior engineers with fundamental engineering calculations, data collection, and technical analysis for substation projects.
Assist in preparing and modifying technical drawings and schematics using CAD software under direct supervision.
Help review technical specifications and project documentation to strengthen your understanding of project requirements, industry standards, and engineering best practices.
Take part in team meetings to stay informed on project status, engineering challenges.
Contribute to the creation, formatting, and maintenance of essential project documentation, including reports, lists, and technical records that support project continuity.
Support the organization of engineering files and drawings within the company's document management system, while providing general administrative support to help the team operate smoothly.

What You Bring

Currently enrolled in, or a fresh graduate of, a Bachelor's degree program in Electrical Engineering, Electrical-Electronic Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
A solid foundation in core engineering principles gained through your academic coursework, along with a genuine eagerness to apply that knowledge in a real-world setting.
Working knowledge of CAD software, such as AutoCAD, along with the ability to support basic data analysis tasks using common engineering and analytical tools.
Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite to support documentation, reporting, and administrative tasks across ongoing engineering projects.
Strong learning agility and attention to detail, with the ability to absorb new technical concepts quickly and apply them carefully and accurately to your work.
Effective communication and teamwork skills, paired with a proactive, problem-solving mindset that allows you to collaborate confidently with senior engineers and cross-functional colleagues.
