Job summary

GE Vernova is offering an Early Career internship across Grid Solutions offices/sites to build core field technical skills and hands-on knowledge for energy market roles. The 12-month program is designed to prepare you for future opportunities while engaging with protection, SCMS, and cyber security activities.

You'll assist engineers with schematics, field service tasks, production documents, and testing activities, while coordinating with teams to meet project milestones and safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Computer Science/Engineering, Cybersecurity, AI, or related field from an accredited university.
• Fresh graduates up to 2 years of experience.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Support GEV engineers for preparation of Signal List from schematics and other applicable documents.
• Support handling engineering and field service works for protection relays, panels modification, protection logic diagrams, BOM, and related schematics.
• Assist with production documents (Wiring Table/Label list/Cable Schedule/Interpanel wiring files) and relay setting calculations.
• Support Field Services activity of Substation Automation Systems including DCS/SCS, RTU and Cyber security.
• Assist all technical activities for assigned projects (EHS coordination and site work).
• Coordinate tests for digital inputs, controls, measurements, interlocks, IEC61850 IEDs, SCADA signals and SCS functionalities.
• Assist installation of the SCS system at site (fiber layout, PC installations, wiring, testing) and track project milestones.

Job Description

What You’ll Do

• Support GEV engineers for preparation of Signal List from schematics and other applicable documents.
• Support handling engineering and field service works for [Protection Relays, Panels modification, protection logic diagram, GA/LA, Bill of Materials, Purchasing requests, Protection/SCMS/LCC Schematics, SCMS/Cyber Security Architectures, SCMS Signal list, Cable Schedule, Control Desk Drawing, IEC61850 signal mapping, etc.]
• Support for all Production documents (Wiring Table/Label list/Cable Schedule/Interpanel wiring files), CT/VT Adequacy check, Relay setting calculations.
• Support GEV engineers for Field Services activity of Substation Automation Systems including DCS/SCS, RTU and Cyber security.
• Support all technical activities for assigned projects (EHS coordination and follow up, Site works).
• Support GEV engineers to coordinate, record tests for digital inputs, controls, measurements, interlocks, IEC61850 IEDs, SCADA signals and SCS functionalities.
• Support the installation of the SCS system at the site (Fiber optic layout, PC installation at panels, SCS consoles wiring, installation, and testing).
• Follow the project planning to ensure timely achievement of project milestones as per project schedule.
• Coordinate workplace EHS issues and ensure the availability of suitable PPE for T&C personnel, both internal and subcontracted.

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor\'s degree in Electrical, Machine Power, Electrical Power, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electromechanical, Mechatronics, Control and instrumentation, Energy Engineering, Renewable energy, Electronics, cybersecurity, or/ and Artificial Intelligence, or a related field from accredited university.
• Fresh graduates up to 2 years of experience.
• Strong Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Fluent in English
