Job summary

Fatherson International FZE in Dubai is seeking a skilled Electrical Draftsman with experience in high-rise projects to produce detailed electrical shop and layout drawings.

You will review drawings, coordinate with engineers and site teams, and ensure compliance with standards, delivering accurate, well-documented drawings on time. Proficiency in AutoCAD and related software, strong attention to detail, and good communication are required.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience as an Electrical Draftsman for high-rise construction.
• Diploma or certification in Electrical Drafting or Engineering Drafting.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other drafting software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed electrical shop drawings for high-rise projects.
• Develop wiring and layout drawings for power, lighting, LV systems.
• Review IFC drawings and project specifications.
• Coordinate with Electrical Engineers, site teams, and consultants for approvals.
• Update drawings based on site modifications and instructions.
• Ensure drawings comply with standards, local regulations, and construction requirements.
• Maintain drawing control records and documentation.
• Assist in preparing material submittals and technical documents.
• Redraft and detail electrical systems as the project progresses.
• Support site execution teams with accurate, updated drawings.

• Develop drawings for power distribution systems, lighting systems, low voltage systems, grounding, and cable routing.
• Review design drawings, IFC drawings, and technical specifications.
• Coordinate with Electrical Engineers, site teams, and consultants for drawing approvals.
• Update drawings based on site modifications and engineering instructions.
• Ensure drawings comply with project standards, local authority regulations, and construction requirements.
• Maintain proper documentation and drawing control records.
• Assist engineering team in preparing material submittals and technical documents.
• Perform redrafting and detailing of electrical systems as per site progress.
• Support site execution teams by providing accurate and updated drawings.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience as an Electrical Draftsman in high-rise building construction projects.
• Diploma or certification in Electrical Drafting, Engineering Drafting, or relevant field.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and other drafting software.
• Good knowledge of electrical systems including lighting, power distribution, and low voltage systems.
• Experience in residential or commercial tower projects is preferred.
• Ability to interpret electrical design drawings and specifications.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in drafting work.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
