Job summary

Naffco in Dubai is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to help develop robust electrical and electronic systems for fire fighting trucks and emergency vehicles, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer specifications.

You will create schematics and layout drawings, integrate pumps, sirens, lighting, telemetry, and CAN bus architectures, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize performance and manufacturability.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of electrical design experience in automotive/commercial or emergency vehicles.
• Strong understanding of vehicle electrical architectures and system integration.
• Proficient CAD skills and experience with design/simulation tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical/electronic systems for fire fighting trucks and emergency vehicles.
• Create, review, and update schematics, wiring diagrams, and layouts for vehicle electrical systems.
• Integrate pumps, sirens, lighting, telemetry, and fire suppression with CAN bus and chassis systems.
• Collaborate with mechanical, hydraulic, and body teams to optimize performance and manufacturability.
• Prepare technical submittals and documentation for firefighting standards and compliance.
• Troubleshoot and document electrical issues during prototype, testing, and production.
