Job summary

NAFFCO Careers in Dubai invites a Design Engineer – Firefighting Systems to join our fire protection team. You will design and detail firefighting schemes, produce hydraulic calculations, and create shop and as‑built drawings using AutoCAD and Revit, ensuring NFPA and UAE Civil Defense compliance.

The ideal candidate holds a Mechanical Engineering degree with 3–5 years of experience in firefighting system design, strong NFPA knowledge, and proficiency in AutoCAD; UAE/GCC experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3–5 years of firefighting system design experience.
• Strong knowledge of NFPA standards and fire protection systems.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; Revit/BIM knowledge is an advantage.
• UAE/GCC experience and Civil Defense approval experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design fire protection systems (sprinkler, hydrant, hose reel, fire pump, foam).
• Prepare hydraulic calculations, equipment selections, and specs.
• Develop shop, design, and as‑built drawings using AutoCAD/Revit.
• Review project specs, drawings, and BOQ requirements.
• Coordinate with project, estimation, MEP, and site teams.
• Ensure designs comply with NFPA, UAE Fire & Life Safety Code, and Civil Defense.
• Attend technical meetings and coordinate with consultants and clients.
• Support material submittals, authority approvals, and queries.
