Job summary

CIMC Pteris Global is seeking an experienced Electrical & Controls Commissioning Engineer for our Dubai site. You will lead on-site electrical and controls commissioning, support trial run troubleshooting, and collaborate closely with the software commissioning team and customer stakeholders.

Responsibilities include commissioning per plan, documenting test records, and reporting issues promptly. You will also help prepare maintenance manuals and deliver technical training to customer personnel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or Mechatronics.
• Hands-on commissioning experience for automated warehousing/material handling.
• Proficient in PLC, HMI, servo, sensor, and field control hardware debugging.
• Strong English communication and technical documentation skills.
• On-site work in Dubai required.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical & Controls Commissioning Engineer for our Dubai site. You will lead on-site electrical and controls commissioning, support trial run troubleshooting, and collaborate closely with the software commissioning team and customer stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical and controls commissioning strictly following the approved commissioning plan, complete test records, identify, document and report on-site technical issues to the project team in a timely manner.
• Support the preparation of electrical operation & maintenance manuals, cooperate to deliver tiered technical training for customer management, operation and maintenance personnel.
• Conduct fault diagnosis and troubleshooting for electrical and control systems during the system trial operation phase, resolve on-site control-related issues to guarantee stable system running.
• Coordinate with software engineers, site construction team and client side to align commissioning schedule, verify control logic execution and close out punch items.
• Review electrical drawings, check wiring, safety circuits, sensors, actuators and field control devices before and during commissioning.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics or relevant fields.
• Hands-on commissioning experience for automated warehousing / material handling systems; proficient in PLC, HMI, servo, sensor and field control hardware debugging.
• Good English communication and technical documentation ability, able to write test reports and electrical maintenance guidance.
• Strong on-site troubleshooting skills, capable of working independently under tight project timelines.
• Customer-oriented mindset, comfortable providing on-site technical training and communicating with multi-level client teams.
• Willing to work on-site in Dubai, adaptable to project-based work rhythm.
