Job summary

CIMC Pteris Global is hiring a Software Commissioning Engineer for on-site work in Dubai. You will lead software commissioning of our automation system, develop training materials and manuals, and deliver customer training while handling software faults during the trial operation.

Ideal candidates combine a degree in CS/Automation/Software Eng with hands-on experience in automated logistics or material handling software, strong technical writing, and excellent English communication for overseas

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Automation, Software Engineering or related majors.
• Practical software commissioning experience on automated logistics / warehouse management or material handling systems; familiar with WMS/WCS or automation control software logic.
• Excellent technical writing capability, able to independently prepare English software manuals and training guides.
• Confident to deliver face-to-face technical training to different levels of customer users.
• Strong logical thinking and fault analysis skills, able to reproduce, locate and describe software issues clearly.
• Fluent English for daily technical communication with overseas clients.
• Based in Dubai for site commissioning, able to follow project milestones.

Responsibilities

• Execute software commissioning work as per the commissioning plan, verify system logic, functions and interfaces, record test results and feed back software defects and abnormal behaviours.
• Develop software operation training materials and official user manuals, design tiered training courses for the customer’s management team, operators and maintenance staff, and conduct on-site training.
• Troubleshoot software, workflow and interface issues throughout the trial run stage, analyse root causes and work with the R&D team to implement fixes.
• Align with the electrical & controls commissioning engineer to coordinate joint debugging of software and control hardware, confirm end-to-end system function.
• Collect customer feedback on software functions, maintain version records and update operation documents accordingly.
