Job summary

Sharjah Education Academy is seeking an Education Support Specialist to provide field-based educational and technical support to nursery and KG settings in the UAE, strengthening teaching quality and practice.

The role monitors standards, offers coaching, collects field data, and helps address gaps through improvement plans; serves as link between field and department; supports staff workshops and curriculum evaluation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, Curriculum and Instruction, or related field.
  • Master's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field is preferred.
  • Professional certification or recognised training in relevant areas is an advantage.
  • Minimum 4–6 years of relevant professional experience in education.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct planned field visits to nursery and KG settings to monitor practices and progress.
  • Provide practical educational guidance, coaching, and technical support to leaders and staff.
  • Support the implementation and follow-up of institutional, educational, and operational improvement plans.
  • Observe teaching and learning and provide constructive, evidence-based feedback.
  • Identify gaps and improvement needs relating to pedagogy, curriculum, inclusion, and staff practice.
  • Collect, verify, and analyse field data, observations, and stakeholder feedback.
  • Prepare clear reports, findings, and recommendations for the Section Head and stakeholders.
  • Monitor corrective and improvement actions and provide additional support where required.

Education Support Specialist – اختصاصي دعم التعليم

The Education Support Specialist provides field-based educational and technical support to nursery and KG settings to strengthen the quality of teaching, learning, care, and educational practice. The role monitors the implementation of approved educational standards, curricula, learning resources, and improvement plans; provides practical guidance and coaching to educational teams; collects and analyzes field evidence; and supports nurseries and KG settings in addressing identified gaps and achieving continuous improvement.

The position serves as a key link between the educational field and the Educational Development and Improvement Department, ensuring that improvement priorities are translated into effective practice.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct planned field visits to nursery and KG settings to monitor educational practices, programme implementation, and progress against approved standards and improvement priorities.
  • Provide practical educational guidance, coaching, and technical support to nursery leaders, educators, and relevant staff.
  • Support the implementation and follow-up of institutional, educational, and operational improvement plans.
  • Observe teaching and learning practices and provide constructive, evidence-based feedback to strengthen performance.
  • Identify gaps and improvement needs relating to pedagogy, learning environments, curriculum implementation, inclusion, assessment, educational resources, and staff practice.
  • Collect, verify, and analyse field data, observations, evidence, and stakeholder feedback.
  • Prepare clear reports, findings, recommendations, and action follow-up records for the Section Head and relevant stakeholders.
  • Monitor the implementation of corrective and improvement actions and provide additional support where required.
  • Monitor the appropriate use of educational, digital, and interactive learning resources in daily practice.
  • Support the piloting and field evaluation of curricula, educational programmes, learning resources, and digital tools.
  • Participate in delivering workshops, professional‑development activities, and practical guidance sessions for educational staff.
  • Coordinate with the Curriculum and Learning Resources Section and the Capability Building Section to ensure that field findings inform curriculum development and professional‑development priorities.
  • Promote child‑centred, play‑based, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate educational practices.
  • Support the implementation of approved requirements relating to child safeguarding, wellbeing, inclusion, and quality of education and care.
  • Build effective professional relationships with nursery and KG leaders, educators, departmental teams, and relevant internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate field records and protect the confidentiality of children, families, staff, and organizational information.
  • Perform other related duties and assignments as directed by the Section Head or Department Director.

Required Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong knowledge of early childhood education and development within nursery and KG settings.

  • Knowledge of curriculum implementation, learning environments, observation, formative assessment, and educational improvement.
  • Ability to observe educational practice and provide practical, constructive feedback.
  • Ability to manage multiple field assignments and work effectively with limited supervision.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Minimum Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, Curriculum and Instruction, Special Education, Educational Leadership, or another closely related educational discipline.
  • A master’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, Curriculum and Instruction, Educational Leadership, or a related field is preferred.
  • Professional certification or recognised training in one or more relevant areas would be an advantage.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 4 to 6 years of relevant professional experience in education, early childhood education, educational improvement, curriculum implementation, quality assurance, or a related field.
  • Practical experience within nursery, KG, or early childhood education settings is required.
  • Experience providing field‑based educational support, coaching, mentoring, or professional guidance to educators is strongly preferred.
  • Experience supporting the implementation of curricula, educational programmes, learning resources, or improvement plans.
  • UAE or GCC education‑sector experience is preferred.

Language Requirements:

  • Professional proficiency in Arabic and English, both written and spoken, is mandatory.
