GEMS World Academy–Dubai is seeking a passionate Economics teacher to deliver Secondary Economics in line with IB MYP/DP, fostering inquiry, rigor and student growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Education or initial degree plus PGCE/PGDE or equivalent in Economics.
• Minimum of three years’ experience teaching Secondary Economics.

• Genuine passion for working in a non-selective and culturally diverse community.
• Experience teaching the IB MYP and DP is preferred, though outstanding teachers from any curriculum are encouraged to apply.

Requirements

• A Bachelor of Education degree, or an initial degree plus a relevant teaching qualification such as a PGCE, PGDE or equivalent specialism in Economics
• A minimum of three years’ experience teaching Secondary Economics
• Proven experience teaching Economics
• Strong track record in effective teaching and helping students succeedAlignment with the IB philosophy and commitment to the Learner Profile values
• Genuine passion for working in a non-selective and culturally diverse community
• Experience in teaching the IB Middle Years Programme and Diploma Programme is preferred, although outstanding teachers from any curriculum background are encouraged to apply
