Job summary

SQUATWOLF is seeking an Ecommerce Assistant Manager to own the operational execution of our Shopify-based platform, ensuring the website and app run efficiently, accurately and at pace to support commercial targets.

You will collaborate with Trading, Marketing, Merchandising and Engineering to implement launches, maintain product data, pricing and onsite content, while driving site performance and process improvements.

Qualifications

  • 4-6+ years in Ecommerce Operations.
  • Excellent Shopify experience.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a bias for execution.
  • Excellent verbal and written English.
  • Experience managing product catalogues, promotions, and onsite content in Shopify.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Own the day-to-day Ecommerce operations, ensuring the website (Headline Shopify environment) and app is fully functional, accurate, and optimised for performance.
  • Act as the operational backbone of Ecommerce, supporting Trading plans through flawless execution onsite.
  • Work closely with the Ecommerce Director and Ecommerce Merchandiser to support delivery of trading strategy, ensuring operational readiness across all campaigns and launches.
  • Ensure product setup, pricing, categorisation, and onsite visibility are accurate and aligned to trading priorities.
  • Lead product launches and seasonal drops with correct data, reviews, product imagery, and timing.
  • Maintain site hygiene across collections, filters, and navigation.
  • Manage product uploads and catalogue integrity, including local and global pricing, promotions, product data, and imagery.
  • Ensure all onsite content, banners, and landing pages are implemented correctly and on time.
  • Own QA processes across the website, identifying and resolving issues quickly.
  • Monitor site performance from an operational perspective, including bugs, errors, page speed, and checkout issues.
  • Work closely with Engineering and Ecommerce teams to prioritise fixes and improvements.
  • Coordinate across Digital Marketing, CRM, and the Content teams to ensure product and marketing campaigns are executed seamlessly onsite.
  • Oversee stock availability and onsite accuracy in partnership with Merchandising and Operations teams.
  • Ensure alignment between backend systems (Shopify, Operations, Logistics, Reviews, Returns) and frontend experience.
  • Continuously improve processes, workflows, and ways of working to increase efficiency and reduce risk.
  • Stay up to date with Ecommerce tools, platforms, and best practices to enhance operational performance.
  • Manage and develop junior team members where applicable.

Role Summary

SQUATWOLF is looking for an Ecommerce Assistant Manager to own the operational execution of our Ecommerce platform. This role ensures the website and app runs efficiently, accurately, and at pace, enabling Trading, Marketing, and Merchandising to deliver against commercial targets.

  • Oversee stock availability and onsite accuracy in partnership with Merchandising and Operations teams
  • Ensure alignment between backend systems (Shopify, Operations, Logistics, Reviews, Returns) and frontend experience

About You
  • Passion for fitness, sport or training culture.
  • 4-6+ years in Ecommerce Operations
  • Excellent Shopify experience
  • Excellent attention to detail with a bias for execution and delivery
  • Excellent verbal and written English
  • Experience managing product catalogues, promotions, and onsite content in Shopify
  • Highly organised, with strong project management and communication skills – a Belbin “completer finisher”
  • Wants to be held accountable for Ecommerce performance, and respects the highest standards from across the full team
  • Comfortable working with cross-functional teams and managing multiple priorities
  • Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to act quickly in a fast-paced environment.
