Job summary

Talabat seeks a Demand Planner for grocery inventory in Dubai to forecast demand, manage replenishment, and optimize stock levels across talabat Mart cloud stores. You will balance availability with working capital while reducing waste and stockouts in a fast-paced rapid grocery network.

Ideal candidates bring 4+ years in demand planning within grocery/retail or e‑commerce, strong analytical skills, and the ability to engage cross-functionally with suppliers and store teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of professional demand planning experience.
• Experience in grocery, retail, e-commerce, or fast-moving consumer goods is preferred.
• Fluency in English; Arabic is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Analyse current inventory levels and determine replenishment requirements for each store.
• Monitor stock movements, inventory adjustments, product availability, and demand patterns daily.
• Minimize out-of-stock and overstock positions through accurate forecasting and parameter management.
• Maintain replenishment model settings within inventory and ordering systems.
• Update supplier lead times, reorder points, EOQ, and minimum order quantities.
• Prepare short-term and medium-term demand forecasts by product, category, and store.
• Initiate replenishment orders and monitor their progress through delivery and receipt.
• Dispatch purchase orders to suppliers and maintain tracking records.
• Coordinate inventory planning with Category Managers.
• Review promotional plans and seasonal trends when preparing forecasts.
• Analyse forecast accuracy and identify causes of demand variations.
• Prepare inventory, purchasing, stock availability, and demand planning reports.
• Maintain records of in-stock positions, open orders, and expected receipts.
