Job summary

ConFlip in Dubai is seeking an experienced Sommelier to join our team. The role offers a monthly salary of 1600, with consideration for applicants from outside the country. You will provide knowledgeable wine advice to guests to ensure an exceptional experience.

The candidate will manage wine selections, assist with menus, and maintain proper storage and stock levels while upholding safety and service standards. Dubai-based position with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Sommelier or equivalent in a restaurant setting.
• Excellent knowledge of different wines, including flavors, origins and pairings.
• Ability to work under pressure while providing friendly customer service.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Ability to lift up to 30lbs/14kgs.

Responsibilities

• Provide guests with detailed knowledge about wines, including flavors, origins, and pairings.
• Assist in selecting specific wines for dining experiences or special occasions.
• Prepare drinks menus and suggest suitable accompaniments for dishes.
• Ensure that all wine bottles are stored correctly and securely.
• Monitor stock levels and place orders for new supplies when necessary.
• Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to all health and safety regulations.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers.
• Ensure that all customers receive excellent service.
