Job summary

Dashco, a contracting company in Dubai, is seeking a qualified Quantity Surveyor to lead post-contract commercial activities and cost management for projects in the UAE market.

The candidate should have strong experience in cost control, invoicing, variations, claims management and project monitoring within GCC contexts. This role requires deep knowledge of drawings, BOQs, contracts and budgets, and the ability to drive profitability while coordinating with site and procurement teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Civil Engineering.
• 45 years of GCC experience, preferably UAE construction/contracting.
• Hands-on post-contract quantity surveying and commercial management.
• Strong understanding of drawings BOQs specifications and contracts.

Responsibilities

• Post-Contract & Quantity Surveying.
• Prepare quantity take-offs from drawings and project specifications.
• Develop Bill of Materials (BOM) and cost estimates.
• Analyze drawings and contract documents for project requirements.
• Monitor project costs and maintain cost reports.
• Prepare evaluate and negotiate variation orders.
• Prepare contractual claims extensions of time (EOT) and supporting documentation.
• Verify subcontractor measurements, valuations and payment certificates.
• Monitor project budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Coordinate with site team and procurement team regarding commercial matters.
• Maintain accurate records of project costs variations and claims.
• Prepare commercial reports and cost analyses.
• Support management with project profitability assessments.
