Job summary

Dashco Middle East is seeking a strong Quantity Surveyor in Dubai to manage cost control, invoicing, variations, and claims, with solid knowledge of UAE GCC construction environments. You will support commercial monitoring and contribute to project profitability.

You will prepare BOQs, analyse drawings, monitor budgets, and deliver commercial reports while coordinating with site and procurement teams to ensure financial success of projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• 4–5 years GCC experience, preferably within the UAE construction/contracting industry.
• Hands-on experience in post-contract quantity surveying and commercial management.
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, BOQs, specifications, and contracts.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quantity take-offs from drawings and project specifications.
• Develop Bill of Materials (BOM) and cost estimates.
• Analyze drawings and contract documents for project requirements.
• Monitor project costs and maintain cost reports.
• Prepare evaluate and negotiate variation orders.
• Prepare contractual claims extensions of time (EOT) and supporting documentation.
• Verify subcontractor measurements, valuations and payment certificates.
• Monitor project budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Track project expenditures against approved budgets.
• Coordinate with site team and procurement team regarding commercial matters.
• Maintain accurate records of project costs, variations and claims.
• Prepare commercial reports and cost analyses.
• Support management with project profitability assessments and forecasting.
